Tree Removal
Be proactive with tree removal! If your trees are leaning and threatening your property, it is time to remove the tree. At Dscape Artists we assess risk by the type of tree, the tree’s size, and the damage it might cause. Most conifer trees have shallow, if wide-spreading root systems, making the trunks highly susceptible to wind and surface disturbance. Pine trees in particular are more likely to come down because their canopy is always present and it’s thick and heavy, creating a ‘wind sail effect'.
Generally, trees need to be at least 15 feet from the home, larger species have even more room, up to 25 feet. If the tree is hanging over the house or has branches touching the roof it’s more than likely too close. Often times customers inherit trees that were planted too close to their home And over time the spreading root system can threaten the foundation. It is time for tree removal.
Tree Trimming
All trees require trimming at one time or another. Properly trimmed trees are much healthier and better able to fight off pests and environmental threats.

Tree Tips and Advice
The best time to trim Oak trees is when they are dormant. Deciduous Oaks, trees which lose their leaves in the winter, should be pruned in the winter.
